2014 GEH Workshop

Located in an idyllic forest setting, Osnabrück's "Parkhotel am Heger Holz"  was the site of the 2014 GEH Workshop attended by over 60 experts from the international water industry on 3 - 4 April 2014. The primary focus of the workshop was exchange of experience gathered with GEH granular adsorbents in applications worldwide.  In panel discussions moderated by Professor Martin Jekel (Technische Universität Berlin), representatives of big-name companies from the international water treatment sector - including Evoqua Water Technologies from the U.S.A., Degrémont (SUEZ Environnement) from France/Italy and Siontech from South Korea - described current practice in their respective countries and gave brief presentations on diverse application fields.
In the evening, the participants enjoyed dinner together following a welcoming address by Mr. Frank Otte, Municipal Planning Commissioner of Osnabrück, given on behalf of Lord Mayor Wolfgang Griesert. The next day, the participants took part in a tour of the new GEH production plant as well as an excursion to a landfill leachate treatment facility located nearby in Osnabrück-Eversburg.

The presentations and photos from the workshop are available to participants for downloading. If you do not yet have the access I.D. entries, please let us know by a brief e-mail to
