High phosphate levels are a major problem for lakes, rivers and other natural waters.

Introduced as a constitute of the waste water, it functions as a fertiliser and results in the algae there growing quickly. The body of water becomes eutrophic and the risk of the formation of “dead zones” increases. GEH® helps to maintain the natural balance in lakes by removing phosphate as a nutrient from the water. The treatment using GEH® is a low-energy and sustainable process.
